These sketches explore the form I specifically left out of my mood board. I originally wanted to create a series of lamps where as you move from one to the next the shape slowly becomes more abstracted and “Deformed.” With the time I have im instead going to explore one lampshade that hopefully changes form both in the physical sense and the shadows it casts on surrounding objects. So basically incapsulating what Im trying to communicate originally in 3 in 1. You can see me exploring with classic lampshade shapes and using free flowing lines to see what changes could realistically be made with a wire base. For the colour scheme of water colours I drew directly from my mood board colour pallet I created. With some change in intensity. My personal favourites out of the sketches are shown with stars next to them. During the swatching process Ill see which is more successful in physical form, i'll be using these are loose guide lines since I want to still draping

I, Lily Vernon acknowledge and pay my respects to the Woi wurrung and Boon wurrung language groups of the eastern Kulin Nation, where I conduct my studies and professional buisness. I respect their Ancestors, Elders of past, present, and future. Additionally I acknowledge that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples hold knowledge about textile practices and art techniques, which has been practiced for thousands of generations. On land which was stolen and still remains unceded.
